​Berenice Leyva joined the J. Perez Legal team in October of 2013. In her role, Berenice assists the firm with its administrative duties and client communications. Additionally, Berenice assists clients with loan modification, short sale negotiations, and foreclosure defense.

Berenice has been working in real estate her entire career. Prior to joining the firm, Berenice worked as a mortgage broker for fifteen years. In this role, Berenice helped borrowers connect with lenders to seek out the best fit in terms of their financial situation and interest-rate needs.  Berenice is also a licensed Florida State Notary.

Berenice is a South Florida native and currently resides in Miami Lakes. When she is not in the office, Berenice enjoys paddle boarding on her lake with her Wheaten Terrier Marty, cycling, and other competitive activities.
